Christmas With The flowers

Let me start off by saying this post is being done from hubs iPad, so please forgive
My errors & misspells!
With Garrett & claire gone to the movies & Scar napping I thought I'd take advantage of our quiet home & blog about christmas a bit.
This year our Christmas was pure magic!! Ok so we had a few bumps in the road & yah our
Morning started a bit early for my taste, 5 am early. Claire is not a sleeping in
Type of gal anyway, add Christmas And TADA! Poor lil Scarlett Was up a lot the night
Before with pain. Hers getting a tooth!! It makes momma hurt to see my babies hurt! Just didn't seem right. We gave the girl some Motrin with hopes of relief & No such luck. She was fussy, & wouldnt let a soul touch her but momma! So this made for a very long day. We managed. The girls were over gifted if I must say. With grandparents Santa & us..they really received more than I had imagend. Santa brought Claire a ds with a built in camera, sorry can't remember it's correct name. He also brought her a carrying case, & game. Plus he filled her stocking with all sorts little treasures. Santa brought scar a purple unicorn pillow pet & a bunch of misc items as well. What blessed little boogers! Watching them open presents and get so excited, exceeds any gift I could ever receive.
 My babies are so wonderful. Oh and hub is such a
 sneaky lil guy, he surprised me with a northface jacket. Even tho we discussed no gifts!!

Hustle & Bustle

December is -
  A month of Celebrating, the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!!
What else matters right?
Its full of love, traditions, food, Snow (maybe), eating, decorating,
Christmas carols, story telling, snacking, napping, presents,
ornaments, parties, hot chocolate, lights, nativity scenes, laughter,
baking, & my favorite, family!!
2 kids this year at Christmas has me more excited than ever.
I'm sure Scar will be more enthralled with the wrapping
paper, rather than the gifts she receives. Ah well its all good!
Done Shopping and So relieved. I hustled & bustled so well I'm quite proud!

Surrounded

Time is really flying by.
Scar is 8 months old & I can't believe it. She's crawling
The fastest I have ever seen a baby Crawl. She's full of energy. Dancing when she
Hears any sort of music. Shes in love with her sissy! when we pick Claire up from
School she gets overwhelmed with happiness. Watching them together
Just eases my soul. She is really into food. Well veggies. I have made varieties
Of vegetables, & I always get her usual round of applause
"mmmmmm"
Her newest, & (my personal favorite) word is, momma.
Thank u very much Sweet scar! She's into me these days.
I must say, feels nice.
Claire has settled into the big sister role quite nicely. Always willing
To share, help out, & the way she says "hi baby" is so sweet..
Claire is halfway through kindergarten, growing like a weed. She has the longest
Legs along with Rapunzel like hair, which lands her many compliments. I'm
Sad that she's becoming more independent, but proud. She lost her
First tooth sat evening & was just tickled as ever. The tooth fairy
Proved/shared her riches.. 10 bucks, a Justin beib bracelet& candy cane.
Man o man!
I'm surrounded by amazing, growing, innocent, happy children

Thankful Words

Ahh, Thanksgiving..
 A day dedicated to ignoring calories, eating till you pass out, & family.
This year I have so much to be thankful for. By nature I'm a thankful person.
No matter how my day wasor whats going on in my life I'm always
 aware of what Ive been given.

I am so thankful for my father, my creator & the relationship I have with him. He loves me
so deeply, even when I turn away from him he takes me back again & again. I truly don't deserve his
mercy & grace.

I'm so thankful for my dear husband Garrett Dale. The provider & leader of our home. I feel
so lucky to be in a marriage that's full of love. My best friend. We are so perfect for each other.
Our girls have an amazing daddy & role model. I cannot put into words, how much I love you.

I'm incredibly thankful for my girls. Claire Isabell & Scarlett Eva. My precious darlings
have made my life something I never imagined. Full of sweetness, innocence & lots of work
I treasure every moment we share together. Your true blessings. Love you to the moon & back.

I'm thankful for my Siblings & Parents.
I love them so much, growing up in about a 1100 sq. ft house we were very close.
 5 kids!! & My parents always provided.

Pleased

 Claire is almost a full blown reader. Sight words she has down.
Such as.. the, we, can, us, my, me..Now shes sounding out words and reading
mini books. I'm so pleased!! Weekly her teacher sends home a bag of books.
Beginner books & she flows through them. Reading to me, daddy & sister.
I cannot believe how fast shes growing up. I literally am sick about it.
She breaks my heart with her independence & sass.  We kept track of all the
books she has read, & she received a gift card for a free pizza..Well done Claire!

Her handwriting is even Getting neater.

Little Gems

Lately, I drop Claire Off at her school.
  I used to walk her in, It was extreme to me. She is my baby
one, & two piece of mind. Those days are gone.
She insists on walking in by herself..I shed a few tears the first day.
Seems so silly to most, I'm sure. Letting go is hard for me! Mornings are so much
smoother now I will admit. I don't have to get myself ready. It was becoming
a lot of work to walk her in with Scarlett, Cold windy mornings aren't
fun for her. So this is a good milestone..

Claire Picked out this outfit herself (headband & all) Not bad hu? She wants to wear her rain boots everyday. I allowed it yesterday, cause we had rain :) I'm crazy about her lil blazer. Target Special!!
They carry a new line in the big girl section called D-signed. Its Disney. $24.99
Not bad for some serious cuteness.

Scar Fresh Outta the bath..This girl loves bath time..I look forward to bathing her, watching her splash around. Shes amazed by the water & the sound. Shes so wonderful!!

Last weekend, I was asked to sub in for a bunco group. friends of a friend type of thing. Anyhow they have themes & meet once a month. Novembers theme was wine & wigs. Which I thought was so fun! I didn't have a wig, however I did have wine..Plenty! I really enjoyed myself..I figured out how bad my Bunco skills were too..

Answerd Prayer

This morning was quite brisk.
  Too cold for my taste. If you ask me, I think the temp around
here should stay at a nice 75 and never go below or above.
Anyhow On our way to school Claire & I noticed
all the kids in the neighborhood waiting on the bus. Some not dressed so
warm. Claire quickly pointed out, how sad she was for them &
that they must be freezing. I replied I know sis.
She then said "I wish we could help. I'm so glad my mommy takes me
to school everyday, I never want to wait for the bus on a curve"
(Curve=Curb)
This just eased my soul..She cares for others!! As do I.
Many many questions run through your mind as your a parent.
The one that never leaves my mind is, Am I making the right choices..?
Am I teaching her the right things? Its constant, its nagging, & I hate it! But
hearing my child say she wants to help someone, lets me know I'm doing something
right. I have taught her to care for living things & to love. My constant prayer
for this family is not wealth, its not something you can hold..Its that
we remain Children of Christ, never lose sight, & LOVE!!
My children & husband are so precious to me. More precious than gold.

Weekend Goodies!

This weekend was full of goodness..I didn't want it to end.
Typically I never want any weekend to end.
 Anyhow Sat morn we went to a parade here in Moore.
The girls really liked it. Claire especially..Ya know candy &
the marching band. They are huge to her.
Scar while in her stroller, smiled the whole time.
It was a bit chilly, but not enough to make us stay home.

Later Sat eve, the hubs & I headed to dinner. A date night, we never get to have them. So Garrett's parents came over and kept the girls for us. We went to red rock & had some yums. It was a fun, fab night. I actually put on a full face of makeup & Curled my hair! I don't have time to be cute these days. I figured My husband needs to see me spiffied every now & then!
 Sunday morning we got up and went to church. I loved the sermon. Tithing & living a blessed life in return. Something that has been on my mind. Especially with the holidays approaching.
I'm so glad I was blessed to hear what I did. We had a guest speaker, who is also a writer. His book proceeds go straight to charity, what a true testimony. After church we came home and watched football ALL day..By 8 I was ready for Dexter!

Working Out My Sweet Tooth

I must say this out loud, for I feel its very necessary..
  I LOATHE working out. Despise the poo out of it. I really don't see how anyone could
enjoy it. I know its good for me, & important I stay healthy. I just wish I could
exercise or jog constantly and say with a smile I love it. I know I'm sounding
extremely lazy & gross.
 After taking care of everything around the house, its really
the last thing I want to do. These love handles aren't going anywhere, I'm quite aware.
Since I have a sweet tooth that wont leave me alone. I decided to take baby steps.

Seems so silly to buy low fat, low sugar, low cal candy..I mean whats the point?
  Well I decided to give it a try, & just eat one when I feel the need. They are yum!!!!
I just had to share!! Hub & I both had one while Watching Whitney last night.
Which by the way, Is hilarious. Shes a hoot!

Fall Break Fun

Last week was Fall Break..
  3 days of my Claire being home with me. We enjoyed ourselves.
However, I wont lie when Monday Rolled around I was ready to send her to school!!
She is so full of Energy. Shes so dang awnry too. I suppose I'm being Payed back,
I was quite a hand full growing up (so I'm told)
We spent an afternoon crafting together. She had a homework project that needed mommas touch.
Who would have thought gluing things to a pumpkin would be such fun?
We had Gracie, Claires Cousin come for a sleep over. Which I always regret.
Claire wont sleep in & is a complete monster the next day.
They really love each other, So I suppose its worth it.

Sweet Sunday

  This morning we skipped out on church, hub slept in and I got up with the kiddies.
I took Claire for a donut and snagged myself a Starbucks on the way. Claire loves
the concept! When hub finally rose we cleaned up and headed out to the door. We
tried to be slick and go to the new whole foods nice & early. We figured everyone
would be in church and we could have our way with the place. No such Luck! I suppose
everyone had this idea in mind..because It was packed. I'm a complete weirdo when
strangers get near me. I'm claustrophobic. I annoy myself! So I couldn't shop..I am
a huge fan of the place. I cannot wait to go back. I bought a few things that I'm excited about!
 Afterwards we came home and hung out. Claire and I read books all day long. We cuddled &
watched Popeye while daddy & Scarlett watched football. I savor my alone time with her. We
don't get it much anymore.

Mumbled Thoughts

In deep cleaning mode today & I'm lead to the fact that I truly need to have a garage sale. I have junk
for days. I wonder if someone could come do that for me? Ha!
 A garage sale seems to be too much work and no dough. I mean come on, when your selling something for a dollar and someone very seriously asks if you will take a quarter instead..hmm
 On another note I just finished watching Kim Kardashians "fairytale wedding"
& I must say I'm a lil annoyed.
Don't get me wrong, I think shes gorge! Has fab style, yadda yadda..But why is she famous again?
Anyone who wears 3 wedding dresses at 1 Ceremony is bizarre to me. I guess maybe I cant wrap
my mind around having that much money. I didn't even have a wedding!!! Maybe I'm just bitter..
  just some random thoughts! TGIF!~!!

Random Moments In time

Halloween is coming & I cant wait! Claire will be Princess Jasmine from
Aladdin & Scar a lil cheetah. My sweet babies are growing so fast. I cant even believe
how time is flying by. Claire is doing well in Kindergarten making friends and learning to read. Shes also learning to add!
Scar is scooting all over and into everything. She loves the granite around the fireplace, she crawls to
it and just slaps at it. Shes so fun! Shes still saying dadaa all day
 and starting to sit up. Its happening so fast!!

My sweet Scar..Wearing her new kitty onsie for Halloween. I put it on and Loved the color on her. I have always put my girls in frilly's and such, but hardly any Purple. Well that's a thing of the past. Purple is truly her Color!!

Its Friday, Finally

Yaay, its Friday! I'm so relieved this week is coming to an end.
Claire was sick and throwing up again..Poor girl is a pro at
it. Scarlett's first tooth is starting to make an appearance. Exciting
yet challenging. Shes so fussy nothing satisfies her. She is literally
only happy when shes asleep!! I feel like I deserve a chocolate
Sunday, with a heaping mound of whip cream on top. I will
settle for dinner out I suppose.
 Scarlett is 6 months already! I cant even believe how quickly time
has passed. Claire came home with her first kindergarten progress report
yesterday. She did great. I cant even believe how much shes learning. I love
watching my girls grow. They amaze me!!

The other morning as we were about to head out the door, scar was super fussy in her seat. So Claire acted quick, in proper big sis fashion she grabbed a book and began making up words with silly animations..It really calmed Scar. Claire was so proud of her work. Mommy was too!! What a sweet girl! I had to get a pic

A Wee Bit Of Fun!

Dinner at Paseo Grill never disappoints!
 Fri evening I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine,complimented by
a fabulous dish of Seabass, & of course some good ol fashion girl chat.
This night was well overdue. My sis Amber celebrated her 31st
birthday in Aug. & Our original plans had fell through due to my
moms car wreck. Which by the way she is mending just fine.
After dinner we headed to a local bar where we danced the night away!
My feet were killing me the next day, man am I'm getting old. Us moms don't get
out much so we all had fun free of our Children.

Big Girl Room

When we found out we were having baby girl #2,
the thought of doing another girly room excited the pee
outta me! I know, I'm a goob. But I love to decorate, and I love pink!
So you do the math. Claire's room at the time was Shabby Chic,
light pinks and blues, birds, roses and very sweet. I thought to myself, why
this could be Scarlett's room, and I could create a whole new space
for miss Claire. So that's What I did. Being an only child at the time she
had a room plus a play room. The light green play room slowly transformed into
a posh pink room, fit for a princess!


I found these iron pieces on Pottery Barn's Website back in March and couldn't live without them.
They were on back order & took forever. Finally!

So this is her shabby chic bed and night stand, it doesn't really go with her room so I plan to get her new. Eventually..I had her curtains made, Which if you ever do be prepared to spend some money! The fabric was $30 a yard and I had to buy 13 yards..I paid my seamstress $50 a panel. and She made 4 panels. Plus Backing was 80 dollars and I had to buy rods!! Whoops
 Claire is in love with the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua, so She demanded for me to get her
the doggy pic. We love it!

 This turquoise frame used to be in the entry. I felt it fits better in here!
Its waiting for a painting I'm having done of Claire. My friend Jessica is an artist, I cant wait till she finishes it! Next to it, I'm planning to hang a super cute Sconce if I ever find what I'm looking for!

Simplicity

Lately, life is very routine.
 Hub wakes me with coffee, (isn't he wonderful)
Feed the girls. Jazz Claire up and get out the door.
I walk her into school everyday. Its so sacred to me, knowing
the day she will no longer allow it is coming!
 After I drop her off Scarlett and I come home play
a bit & then she has her nap. Next I enjoy me time. So many days I just sit
in the silence. I love a noise free hour alone.
Weekends are wonderful. Family time & most of all no agenda.
Always a grocery store trip. But no times set in stone, we do our thing.
Hub gives me sat morn to sleep in and I give him Sunday.
